IRS Tax Resolution
A notice, an audit, or years of unfiled returns is stressful, but it is rarely as final as it feels. We review exactly what the IRS sent, explain your real options, and handle the response so you are not doing this alone.
IRS resolution services
IRS Notices & Letters
We read the notice, verify what the IRS is actually claiming, and respond correctly and on time, whether it's a balance-due notice, a proposed adjustment (CP2000), or a request for information.
Back Taxes & Unfiled Returns
We pull your wage and income transcripts, prepare the returns you're missing, and get you filed and current, then work out a plan for anything owed.
Audit Support & Representation
We prepare your documentation, respond to the examiner's requests, and represent your position, so you are not walking into an audit unprepared or alone.
Payment Plans & Installment Agreements
If you can't pay a balance in full, we determine which type of installment agreement fits your situation and handle the application and negotiation.
Penalty Relief
Failure-to-file and failure-to-pay penalties can often be reduced through reasonable-cause or first-time abatement requests. We check whether you qualify before filing.
State Tax Notices
State departments of revenue send notices too. We handle state balance-due letters and payment plan requests alongside federal issues when they overlap.

IRS resolution FAQs
I got a letter from the IRS. What should I do first?
Do not ignore it, and do not assume the amount it lists is final. Read the notice number in the top corner, note the response deadline, and call us before that deadline. Many notices are proposed changes, not final bills, and many can be reduced or resolved once we see your full return.
What if I have not filed tax returns in several years?
This is more common than people think, and the IRS generally cares more about getting current than punishing you for the gap. We pull your wage and income transcripts, prepare the missing returns, and get you filed and current, then address any balance due with a manageable plan.
Can you stop wage garnishment or a bank levy?
Once collection action has started, options narrow and time matters. Depending on your situation we may be able to negotiate a release or an alternative arrangement, but this needs an immediate call, not a delay.
What is an installment agreement?
An installment agreement is a monthly payment plan with the IRS for a balance you cannot pay in full. We determine which type fits your situation and handle the application and negotiation.
Can IRS penalties actually be reduced?
Sometimes. The IRS has penalty abatement programs for reasonable cause and, for many taxpayers with a clean recent filing history, first-time abatement. We review whether your situation qualifies before filing a request.
